Located in North-east of India, Tawang from Arunachal Pradesh is one of the most important and beautiful places. It is one of the 16 administrative district which has everything, from man-made wonders to the natural beauty. In these 9 days, you will get the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Tawang. Tawang will give you a flavour of valleys and colourful gardens along with the traditional Arunachal Pradesh tribes.
On your arrival at the Guwahati airport, you will be received by our representative. He will hand over all the necessary documents and then eventually transfer you to the hotel. In the evenings we will take a visit to Kamakhya Devi temple.
Post breakfast we will take a drive to Bhalukpong which is about 245kms away. On arrival we will check into one of the registered hotels. In the evening, we will go to visit the largest orchid garden of Asia. The orchid houses 450 orchids out of 1000 in India. Post that we will run towards the snow-fed Kameni river.
After breakfast, we will drive towards Dirang which is about 5 hours away. We will then take a halt at Bomdila Monastery, made up by Tsona Gontse Rinpoche, the 12th incarnation of Buddha. This monastery was built in 1965. We will further visit Monpa Valley. The Bomdila Monastery looks similar to the Tsona Gontse Monastery. Once we arrive to Dirang, we will check in at the hotel and visit the hot water spring and yak Research Center in India.
Post breakfast, we will drive towards Tawang. On the middle of our way we will visit some tribes. We would then proceed to the Paradise lake which is the center for Mahayana Buddhism. Further we will continue our drive to Monpa Village. On arrival, we will check in at the hotel and enjoy the overnight stay.
Post breakfast we will set out to visit the Tawang Monastery established by Mera Lama Lodge Gyaltso in the 17 century AD. The Monastery is the home to several Buddhist scriptures. Moreover, it can house after 500 marks.
Further we will take a small trek to Bramdungchung Ani Gompa, which is one of the oldest Ani Gompa in Tawang. We will further proceed to the Urgelling Monastery established in 1683 by Tsangyang Gyatso, the sixth incarnation.
Post breakfast, we will set out to explore Zimthang. We will explore the tall stupa made by Lama Prathar of Kharman village. The place marks the highest traffic during Gorzam Kora festival.
While moving to Bomdila, we will take a halt at the Memorial of Indo-China war which was made as a dedication to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat, the 4th Battalion of Garhwal Rifle Infantry Regiment. This memorial is of great historical importance and just 25 km away from Tawang. Next we will continue our drive to Bomdila and watch the various snow-fed peaks such as Gorichen, Nyegi Kangsang, Land Kangto.
Post breakfast, we will head towards Tipi where we will get to visit the Orchid Center housing over 750 species of plants such as Dainty Lady’s Slipper and Dendrobium. We will continue our drive to Tezpur and visit The City of Blood. The place is extremely beautiful. Overnight stay at hotel.
Post breakfast, we will drive towards Guwahati. Further we can board a flight to the respective destination.
